Medical Collections Specialist
Description Immediate opening for a highly responsible Medical Collections Specialist on a contract-to-full time basis. This long-term contract / temporary Medical Collections Specialist position is convenient for candidates in or near Houston, Texas.Major responsibilities
Call on all past due amounts for patients and insurance organizations and document account changes within the practice management system
Maintain and update patient accounts accordingly
Handle inbound and outbound medical collections calls
Requirements
Billing Collection experience
Medical collections experience required
Deep understanding of billing
Experience with Account Balance
Collections experience
Previous experience working with an electronic medical system required
Strong communication and social skills
High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2+ years of prior healthcare collections experience
Strong understanding of explanation of benefits (EOBs)
Excellent problem solving skills in Microsoft Office applications
