Exercise Equipment Service Technician

Fitness Gear, Inc. is a locally owned and operated retailer of quality exercise equipment for both home and commercial users. We are looking for a service technician that would participate in the delivery and setup of equipment that we sell. In addition, the job responsibilities would entail providing after sales warranty and non-warranty diagnostics and installation of replacement parts. Fitness Gear offers on call assistance to home and commercial equipment users and provides monthly, quarterly and semi-annual preventative maintenance agreements with a variety of commercial clients including hotels, apartments, home owners associations, corporate fitness centers and police and fire departments. Applicants must have excellent customer service and customer relations skills as well as previous experience with most hand tools and electrical meters. Work hours will vary day to day between the hours of 10AM and 6PM on an on call basis. The average work week generally provides 25-35 hours per week of work. As much of the equipment we sell can weigh up to 300-350lbs. applicants must be able to lift large and heavy equipment with the assistance of one other person and many deliveries require carrying equipment up and down stairs. In addition, applicants must have a valid Washington State drivers license and a clean driving record. Additional hours may be available to an applicant that could assist on our retail floor selling equipment as well.
