This permanent position is for a Controller who will work in the Las Vegas, Nevada region.What you get to do every single day

Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month

Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed

Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

Assess deliverables of self and team to verify they meet client expectations

Support punctual cash collection by managing the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques

Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective

Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

Able to perform additional tasks beyond formal job duties Requirements - Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

CPA or MBA preferred

Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

Previous experience working with Annual Financial Reporting

Audited Financial Statements experience

GAAP Accounting experience desired

Demonstrated knowledge of financial statements consolidation

Internal control review experience preferred

Adeptness in Consolidated Financial Statements

Proficiency in Analyze Financial Statements

Good understanding of Year-end Financial Statements

Practical knowledge of Prepare Financial Statements

Knowledge of US GAAP

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel

Foundational knowledge in Annual Audited Financial Statements

Expertise in general ledger

Comprehension of Internal Financial Reporting

Experience with Monthly Financial Reporting

Earlier work involving Statutory Financial Statements

Background working with Review Financial Statements

Prior experience with Internal Control

Pro Forma Financial Statements experience highly preferred

Solid understanding of Month-end Close Activities

Financial reporting experience highly valued

General familiarity with Monthly Financial Statements

BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required

Excellent communication and organizational skills

10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
