POSITION OVERVIEWApplications accepted from: All Persons InterestedJob Classification: Human Resource AssistantPosting Number: 33644 Department: HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENTDivision: HR OperationsReporting Location: 611 Walker StreetWorkdays & Hours: MONDAY – FRIDAY 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Subject to ChangeDESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSIn the Physical Exam and Drug Testing Division (PEDT Division) of the Human Resources Department, coordinates professional human resources activities in the areas of drug testing and onboarding in order to select, develop and retain a qualified workforce in compliance with policies and procedures. Consults with various HR Divisions by responding to their human resource needs in the client departments that they support.

Maintains and keeps track of division drug testing log.

Responsible for completing, reviewing, auditing, and submitting or posting of drug test results.

Communicate and liaise with department drug test coordinators in matters related to drug testing results, submission, inquiries, and concerns which may not require a managerial intervention.

Responsible for creating and filing the 350 Form: a form which determines candidate’s eligibility to work and or perform the work assigned IAW local, state, and federal requirements.

Assist the clinic manager in upkeep of all records pertaining to PEDT division functions.

Assist the clinic manager with hearing and vision tests as needed.

Support the daily Onboarding and Verification Service division’s functions and perform other duties essential to the efficient operation of the unit as required to meet the needs of internal and external clients.

WORKING CONDITIONSThis position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. There are no major sources of discomfort in a normal office environment.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSMINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSRequires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Science, Liberal Arts, or other related field.MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSNo experience is required. Pertinent experience at the professional level may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.MINIMUM LICENSE REQUIREMENTSnonePREFERENCESPreferences will be given to candidates that have a background in Human Resources. Preference also will include candidates with vast experience in using web-based tool scheduling applicants, candidates, and the likes for physical and or drug testing requirements.
