Then you're an excellent candidate for Skanska USA Building's Strategy Analyst Internship.We're seeking a summer intern to work approximately 20 to 40 hours a week. This paid internship position will be a critical member of the USA Building Strategy Group, a team that includes the Business Development, Business Planning, Marketing, Market Strategy and Emerging Technology functions. We are a highly collaborative, inclusive and diverse group working as a "team of teams" focused on:

Driving overall company strategy and planning

Winning work, elevating brand positioning and external engagement

Supporting project operations and fostering emerging technology

Promoting a data-centric culture

This internship will provide a challenging, meaningful and supportive experience that will be similar to the experience of an entry-level Strategy Analyst or Marketing Coordinator at a global company. Throughout your internship, you'll learn the ins and outs of a top-ranked construction firm, hear from a number of senior leaders, receive on-the-job training, and be given day-to-day responsibilities to contribute to the success of the Strategy Group. You’ll also have opportunities to dive deeper into your interests within Skanska, whether that be learning more about our sustainability and resiliency efforts, engaging with our Science + Technology Advisory Council, or learning more about new technologies deployed on jobsites.While it will vary day-to-day, here are some of the responsibilities and projects you'll work on as the Strategy Intern:

Research construction trends, local economies and market sectors.

Gather and analyze client and competitor intelligence to help understand business implications and future strategies.

Dig into internal data and information and create visualizations for key executives.

Work with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for communicating internal and external tools, case studies and initiatives.

Build creative and engaging presentations

Assist with internal consulting efforts - from piloting new software to running continuous improvement workshops.

Willingness to think critically and always ask "how" and "why".

An interest in construction, architecture, healthcare, higher education, life sciences, aviation, commercial real estate or any combination of these areas.

Internship requirements:

Familiarity with the Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.).

Experience with Power BI and Salesforce a plus but not required

Available to work at least 20-40 hours per week through the duration of the internship.

Preference will be given to East Coast candidates, but position will likely be remote (your manager will be in New York).

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree or higher. No specific educational background or major required as long as you demonstrate aptitude and ability.
