Lawn Care Specialist

Job description:

Kyle’s Yard Service is a local family owned lawn maintenance company. We take pride in our work and our communication with customers. We work weekly, Tuesday - Thursday, starting in April and ending in October. Occasionally we work an extra day, which might be on a Saturday.

JOB SUMMARY

-Follow direction of crew leader

-Maintain a positive attitude

-Load equipment on and off a trailer safely

-Operate lawn care equipment (gas powered and electric) including walk-behinds, stand ons, riders, string trimmers, hedge trimmers and blade edgers

-Remove lawn clipping debris with blowers

-Pick up and dispose of grass clippings, twigs, shrub clippings and garbage

-Trimming/pruning shrubs and clean up

-Be able to use basic hand tools such as shovels and rakes

-Desire to work as a team member to complete projects

-Clean and maintain the equipment. Report if equipment needs repairs

QUALIFICATIONS

-Experience in the lawn care industry is preferred but not required

-Valid driver’s license with good driving record

-Ability to operate commercial lawn care equipment

-Ability to lift 50lbs

-Ability to work 8 hours a day

-Be timely and organized

-Ability to complete the physical tasks within the lawn care industry

-Willing to learn and improve

-Be comfortable working a variety of weather conditions

-Reliable transportation

-Maintain a professional/clean appearance

License/Certification:

Driver's License

Required company shirt, company hat and PPE provided. Work pants and reliable work shoes must be provided by employee.
