Work within the Maritime Lifecycle Readiness Division to provide engineering support to the United States Coast Guard Headquarters

A week in the life of a Journeyman Marine Engineer:

Assist with Senior Mechanical Engineers in design, development, and evaluation of auxiliary systems.

Review third party design modifications and improvements to mechanical systems and components.

Assist with performing design reviews, evaluating constructability, helping resolve technical issues, and managing information generated through the design and construction phases

Conduct marine engineering analysis as they relate to vessels.

Create graphical representations of structures and systems.

Inspect equipment or systems.

Research of advanced engineering designs or applications.

Prepare technical reports for internal use.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

At least 3+ years of experience in:

Marine Systems engineering

At least 1 year of experience in:

Working with Microsoft office suite

Experience with Auto-CAD

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
