As a Corrections Utility Plant Operator, you will be responsible for supervising inmates and maintaining proper security while ensuring work is performed safely for boiler operations and generation of medium pressure steam. Additionally, you will maintain test logs performed and inventory of water treatment chemicals, reagents and supplies, as well as operate auxiliary electric generating equipment.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment, 40-hour work week.

Work schedule is to be determined by open shifts at the time of hire, with rotating days off.

This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,753 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a steam or hot water generating plant, or a steam and electric generating plant; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:You must be able to perform essential job functions.
