AV (low voltage wiring) Technician
Accucom is a custom residential and commercial audiovisual (AV) installation company in the Charleston area that has been in business since 2005 and we are looking for team players to help us expand our company. We install and service Lighting, Access Control, Networks, CCTV, Shades, and Security Systems along with many other new technology home automation products. We pride ourselves in providing a personalized experience for each of our clients that suits their specific needs and provides them with cutting-edge products that are aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly. Our installations are inclusive from start to finish, including the pre-wire cabling during construction or remodeling, connecting and programming of components during the installation phase, and everything in between. We are looking for someone knowledgeable in the low-voltage field of work that can work with a crew of two or three people daily. You must have a valid driver's license and be able to provide your own transportation to and from work. A company vehicle may be available for use with a clean driving record. ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO:
Pass a SLED background check (no felonies) and have a clean driving record
Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance (company shirts provided)
Install AV equipment such as speakers, tv's, cameras, networks, security systems etc.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with all systems and be able to train clients on use of installed systems
Properly install copper and fiber optic cable & properly terminate copper cable (Cat5e, Cat6, etc.) & perform all component and system testing
Complete the tasks assigned in a timely manner
Understand basic wiring diagrams and installation instructions
Assure that all team members reporting to you complete their assigned tasks in a timely manner
Terminate common types of fiber optic fittings (SC, ST, LC) efficiently and to industry, manufacturer and AFL standards
Complete Telecommunication Room build-outs including rack construction, wire management and backboard construction
Have familiarity with electrical and networking infrastructure
Have the ability to work independently, with little oversight
Complete all required training requirements for this position
Perform any other duties requested by his or her supervisor

Accucom is a growing company, and it is expected that the potential candidate will be able and willing to shift gears with us and pitch in where needed. Technicians must possess the desire and ability to work with and train other technicians.
Knowledge and Experience with Control4, Lutron, and ProControl programming is a PLUS
