Join our team!Position OverviewThe Make Ready Engineering (MRE) Coordinator supports the MRE Team in the oversight of MRE packet compilation and submission to utility companies/agencies for multiple projects. This includes the coordination and quality checking of field-collected pole data and design according to utility requirements. The MRE Coordinator liaises with internal teams and external agencies to fulfill requirements of MRE packages incorporating feedback throughout the process. They assist the MRE Leads with project tracking, coordination of inspections, documentation of quality control, and working with project management, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. This position is instrumental in developing and maintaining positive working relationships with utility agencies, clients, and internal teams.The position is remote or hybrid based on your proximity to an office location. Buford, GA; Kansas City, KS; Denver, CO.Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee and advise on all aspects of preparation of MRE packets for submission to utility companies/ agencies in accordance with their requirements and feedback
Interface with field, design, quality control teams to gather MRE data for packet completion
Develop plans including timelines, tasks, and schedules for MRE packets from inception through issuance
Track jurisdiction specific requirements and provide that information to the team for consideration in the development of MRE plans
Support utility and regulatory agency relationships with correspondence to resolve any redline issues, incorporate feedback, and ensure MRE packets are filed accurately and timely
Coordinate with utility companies/agencies and trackers for feedback and status changes on MRE packets daily.
Notify all incumbent utilities of necessary makeready work and check in weekly on status of completion to ensure construction moves forward on time.
Coordinate payment of utility fees with accounts payable
Track project status and deliverables and monitor deadlines, providing regular and timely reports to Project Management highlighting variances as they arise (weekly and as needed)
Schedule and attend meetings; take meeting minutes and track completion of action items
Other projects or duties as assigned
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required
1+ years of FTTX/telecommunication network construction experience required
Working knowledge and experience with aerial and underground fiber experience preferred
ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and MS Excel/Google Sheets software experience required
Experience with following, updating, and creating trackers in multiple software platforms
Knowledge of FTTX, utility attachments, ROW permitting, material management, construction, quality control, reading and interpreting construction prints, and fiber optic testing procedures a plus
Must have strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
Must be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented
Ability to be proactive and work independently as well as with a team
Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy and pay close attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner
Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
May experience long hours of standing and moving
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
