UCP of Sacramento and Northern California is currently accepting applications for a Full Time Admin Assistant / Dispatcher in our Transportation Department. This person must have good computer skills and the ability to learn new programs.

This position provides general administrative assistance to the Operations and Division Manager by assisting with reports, general office tasks, record keeping, payroll assistance, data entry, supply orders, along with other projects, and task as assigned. This person will also dispatch and communicate with vehicle operators while monitoring routes and on-time performance, minimizing service disruptions as a result of vehicle/operator availability, and/or emergency situations. Works with the Transportation Schedulers to assist with our dispatch and scheduling software.

Candidates must:

· Have good computer skills and knowledge of appropriate software including: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat and the ability to learn and understand new software programs.

· Professional, courteous, with strong customer service and employee relations skills.

· Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form; above average written communications skills are necessary, as well as the ability to interact in person and over the phone with excellent people skills!

· Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse people and teams.

· Familiarity with Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, and El Dorado Counties is a plus

· Detail oriented, able to handle multiple priorities at the same time; multi-tasking is essential as well as good problem-solving skills.

· Strong organizational skills and time management skills.

· Experience in a public transportation setting is preferred but not required.

· Must have administrative experience.

Position Hours are from 10:30AM to 7:00 PM Monday - Friday. This is a full-time/benefited position. Benefit eligibility after 30 days, includes: Medical/Dental/ Vision/Life/Long Term Disability and 403(b) Plan with a match. Also includes paid Vacation/Sick/Holiday benefits which begins accruing on date of hire.

The Transportation Office is located at 2501 Florin Road (Located inside the Paratransit Building). All applicants must be able to pass a DOT Drug screening and background check upon hire.
