Job Description:

Green Effects, a Commercial Landscape Contractor, is seeking an in person experienced, full time professional Bookkeeper with General Ledger, AR, AP, B&O Taxes, Year End procedures and Payroll duties to join our Accounting/Administrative Team. Job Duties:

Full Charge Bookkeeping with General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, AP, AR, and Payroll

Assist with Union & Certified payroll Reports

Assist with WIP Reporting

Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Financial Reports

Year End Processing, including W2s and 1099s and book prep for CPA

Assist with telephones and general office duties

Monitor and follow-up on past due invoices.

Daily recording of payments received and ensuring timely deposits are made.

Maintain records to accurately support GL transactions.

Monthly reconciliation of bank statements and subsidiary ledgers.

Research & resolve discrepancies as needed.

Daily recording of vendor invoices and ensuring timely payments are made to vendors.

Verify, edit, enter payroll time entries as needed to assist Office Manager with payroll.

Resolve Payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and providing solutions.

Maintain employee confidence and protect Payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

Perform other duties as assigned to assist with Payroll

Job Requirements:

A minimum 2-year degree in accounting or business administration.

Successful applicant must have a minimum of three years of Bookkeeping experience. Construction or service industry preferred but not required.

Must have proficient use of Excel/Word – Intermediate Level.

ComputerEase Accounting Software skills preferred but not required. Accounting software skills are required.

Must have strong analytical and time management skills.

Must be professional, detailed oriented and well organized.

Background check required.

Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping.

Knowledge of basic Payroll procedures and processing.

Ability to work independently – identify, research, formulate, report, resolve issues/inefficiencies etc.

Compensation:

Hourly; $30 - $36, depending on experience and qualifications

Monday – Friday, In Person

Paid Medical, Vision and Dental

Paid Holidays, Vacation and Sick Leave
