Seasonal Retail Store Associate (housing avail)

Port Electronics is a specialty procurement and retail store providing professional and consumer electronics, travel items and other products to crew members and staff associated with the cruise, yacht and marine communities of Alaska. Our customers visit us weekly during the season, allowing us to form ongoing relationships with a wonderfully unique group of seafarers from around the globe. Getting to know them during the course of our work is a truly valuable and rewarding experience.

We are looking for friendly, open-minded and interested Retail Associates to create a warm and friendly shopping experience in our store. From answering questions to offering suggestions; our goal is to ensure our customers know they are welcomed, respected and able to purchase the products they need in a safe and trusted environment. Responsibilities include:

- Learning to explain various product categories, from consumer electronics to luggage

- Operating an end to end customer transaction, from meet to receipt

- Building online and digital orders

- Stocking shelves (must be able to lift 35 lbs without difficulty)

- Creating/Designing signage to inform customers

- Helping customers find their favorite products

- Enjoying the day to day interactions with our customers in an informal atmosphere

You will learn a lot about customer experience, sales and customer success. Each team member contributes by participating in all aspects of the workplace. We are all working towards the same goals and stand on equal footing.
