This includes the development and execution of the year-round global volunteer service and matching gifts programs, the annual United Way campaign and special challenge programs. The role carries significant financial and reputational risk and reward for the company and the Caterpillar brand. This role also regularly interacts with the Executive Office in both a business and personal giving capacity. In addition, this role supports the development and creation of impact dashboards and internal communications for the Caterpillar Foundation.What You Will Do:Global Matching Gifts (MG) and Volunteer Service Match Program (VSM) : Lead the development, technical system build, launch and execution of the global match program, including analyzing and interpreting complex IRS documentation to ensure our investees are financially sound, ensuring non-profits comply with Foundation by-laws and IRS standing, and aligning with the company brand and mission. Oversight of this program requires the configuration and knowledge to design specialized giving software, benchmarking best practices, communications, and coordination with global donors along with change management and benchmarking as programs evolve.United Way Campaign: Responsible for the management of the global United Way Campaign. This includes communication with Senior Vice Presidents, HR Managers and selecting Lead Project Managers and coordinators. Lead, train and consult with over 500 global Lead Project Managers and coordinators by developing and communicating roles and responsibilities, benchmarking, and managing specialized software training, developing, and running reports, change management, and documenting best practices. This program required a high degree of technical database management, including HTLM coding, secure data transfers, etc. This program also directly manages employee payroll and credit card deductions and processes to charities requiring significant internal collaboration with payroll teams.Strategic Communications: This role liaises with the Corporate Communication Foundation Communicator through internal communications. Providing consultation and support on a variety of internal communications assignments. The assignments are broad, complex, and challenging in nature. Develop and execute communication strategies for the Foundation giving, volunteering and matching program that drives collaboration, understanding, and excitement in our Foundation employee programs and global philanthropic investments. The position generally owns communications vehicles and manages several non-repeating projects, through completion. This includes creating, coordinating, and managing appropriate level communications with various partners. Communication outlets utilized could include newsletters, websites, videos/streaming media, employee meetings, news releases, posters, displays, educational materials, photographs, presentations, correspondence, special events, cascades, etc.What You Have:

Data Analytics: Knowledge of techniques and processes for inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling data; ability to discover useful information, draw logical conclusions, and support decision-making.

Communicating for Impact: Knowledge of the concepts, tools and techniques for effective listening and communicating; ability to apply these theories to receive, transmit and accurately interpret information and ideas to influence others in various situations.

Collaborating Globally: Knowledge of effective collaboration techniques and ability to build networks with people from different countries and cultures, think and work with them to bring positive impact and flourishing business results.

Program Management: Knowledge of the policies and techniques to manage a set of related projects within a program; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control the set of projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve program objectives.

Stakeholder Management: Knowledge of stakeholder management techniques; ability to systematically identify stakeholders, analyze their needs and expectations, and implement various tasks to engage with them.

Internal Communications: Knowledge of techniques and media for internal communications; ability to produce and distribute news, newsletters and other communications materials targeted at the employees.

Employee Engagement: Knowledge of effective employee engagement strategies and tactics; ability to design, implement and monitor an organization's employee engagement programs.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Knowledge of collaborative techniques and approaches; ability to promote a culture of continuous improvement and working together across functions to solve business problems and meet business goals.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

7+ years of job-related experience in a Corporate Foundation and previous grants management software (CyberGrants, etc.) development experience.

Excellent interpersonal skills are required to manage sensitive issues and data-sensitive information, develop others or persuade others inside and outside the company to take specific actions.

Excellent written communication skills are required to summarize recommendations to officers, coordinate and execute meetings, develop and conduct training sessions, and manage expectations of the Board Members, EO, VPs and senior Caterpillar leadership.

Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills and presence needed to interact with Executives, high-level officers and C-suite audiences, while representing the company, Foundation and brand in global communities

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, can learn computer software programs, knowledge of basic accounting principles and familiarity with company policies, protocols, and procedures.

Must be accurate and efficient, can proof own work, take quick action and be able to manage fast-paced project turnarounds.

Accountability is critical to the role. Requires strong judgment, problem-solving, lateral and critical thinking ability.

The primary locations for this position are at our Global Headquarters in Irving, Texas or in Peoria, Illinois
