Landscape Maintenance Technician
Friendly City Yard Care is accepting resumes for an experienced landscape maintenance technician. Here's what we're looking for:
Quality experience (2+ years preferred) with lawn care, hedge and shrub trimming, small tree pruning, etc.
Proficiency with landscape maintenance equipment such as walk behind mowers, zero-turn riding mowers, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, etc.
Valid drivers license and proficiency driving a truck with a trailer.
Friendly, outgoing, customer service. Professional appearance. This is a drug, tobacco, and alcohol free work place.
Reliability is essential. Dependable transportation to get to work on time every day.
Ability and desire to work independently, maintaining the highest quality standards in a time efficient manner. Attention to detail is an essential trait of the best candidate.
Ability to work full time manual labor. This is labor intensive work. Ability to walk 5 - 9+ miles a day mostly while using equipment.
Ability to provide instruction and monitor performance of a trainee/helper when necessary.
This is a small company almost 2 years old and can provide full time work Monday - Friday for one experienced person (weather dependent). May hire a second person as a helper part time. I have mostly done this job by myself but I have a new position starting April 5th. I'm looking for someone who has the experience to take over my routes, maintaining the high standard of quality and efficiency my clients are used to, without a lot of training on how to use equipment and how to achieve beautiful results. I will provide training about the properties themselves and the scope of work with some instruction on how I do things. I service over 50 properties at least every 10-14 days with several as needed properties and add-on jobs in between. I hope to continue growing the business to provide two full time positions this year.
Pay depends on experience. Starting wage with experience is $21/hr. Evaluation and raise after 3 months of quality service.
