Grounds Keeping & Facility Maintenance Position
Essential Job Functions:
Grounds Keeping
o Mowing
o Trimming
o Cleaning/clearing debris from property
o Keeping walkways/driveways clear
o Operating/maintaining landscaping equipment
Facility Maintenance
o Pressure washing
o Painting
o Minor carpentry repair of walls, flooring, & wood trim
o Changing lightbulbs
o Minor plumbing repairs
o Cleaning, chemical treatment and maintenance of swimming pool
o Custodial services in building common areas, hallways, restrooms, etc.
o Conduct routine checks of facility systems such as HVAC, fire suppression system, back-up generator, etc.
o Coordinate with all contractors working or servicing the facility
Position Requirements:
Must have experience in the following areas:
o Facility Grounds keeping
o Facility maintenance
o Facility housekeeping
Basic knowledge in plumbing, electrical, carpentry
Knowledge of proper and safe use of tools and equipment
Professional appearance and attitude
Attention to detail and keen observation
Ability to read, write and speak English
Valid Georgia Driver License
Physical Requirements:
Lifting, pushing and pulling in excess of 50 pounds
Using proper body mechanics and/or available equipment as physically required for extended periods of time
Be able to walk, bend, stoop, balance, crawl and reach for extended periods
Capable of climbing ladders and or operating mechanical lift at heights exceeding 10 feet
Must be capable of accessing small and confined spaces
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions typical for Georgia environment.
Salary:
$25.00 an hour
40 hour work week
