Seasonal Organics Composting Site Assistant

Dirt Rich is a small industrial composting company out of Columbia Falls with a mission to divert organics from landfills and nourish local farm and garden soils with the compost we produce. Do you like doing work with your hands and seeing visually what you've accomplished? Are you interested in learning more about composting or have experience with farm work? Do you like knowing the work you're doing has positive impacts in your community? This part-time seasonal gig may be a great option for you. Your responsibilities would include:

1. contamination mitigation (picking up trash from compost)

2. 1st stage of food scrap processing

3. sifting finished compost

4. tractor work to move compost along in process

5. organization and cleanliness and care of site and equipment

6. bi-weekly meeting attendance

7. compost load ups for customers

8. bagging of compost

9. washing of food scrap collection bins

The job time-frame would be from the beginning of May until the end of September. Your shifts would be Fridays and Saturdays from 9 am - 5pm each day. We are a small team of 4.
