Construction Project Estimator
Description Robert Half is currently hiring for a Construction Project Estimator for a growing company in the Louisville, KY area. The ideal Construction Project Estimator should have experience in the construction industry, and be able to perform the following duties:
Work through the life cycle of a bid from invitation to finalizing bid proposal
Work closely with plans, specifications and construction documents
Conduct Project Site Visits, attend meetings for bids to understand site conditions
Process proposals from vendors, subcontractors, construction engineers
Develop construction schedules based on projects

Requirements Requirements 5+ years of experience working for either a Site Contractor bidding on private projects, or a Highway Contractor as an estimator bidding on DOT/heavy highway projects required. Estimating projects which typically range from $100k to $50m. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management Must have experience effectively managing the entire bid process from cradle to grave, including mass excavation, concrete structures, highway, bridges, pump stations, drainage systems and underground utilities. Working knowledge of construction assemblies and all project phases. Experience in identify value-engineering alternatives.
