Job description

Provide support to the accounting department with their day-to-day functions by performing various administrative and accounting related duties. The primary work focus is on data validation and entry. In addition, you will be helping with general office administration.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Scanning and digitally filing invoices and invoice support

· Sorts incoming mail and delivers to appropriate department or individual, processes outgoing mail.

· Distributing employee checks

· Gathering and tracking employee timecards

· Calculating employee hours on timecards

· Reviewing daily driver logs, times cards and freight tickets to ensure data is captured and reported accurately.

· Correcting and modifying inaccurate files and records

· Records all dispatched calls, deliveries and pickups in software to maintain record database and track deliveries.

· Gathering back up and support for AP

· Filing, mailing, answering phones, and other duties as needed

· Communicates with AP, AR, Shop, HR and other departments.

Requirements and Qualifications

· Data entry and word processing skills

· Self-motivated and self-directed

· Accurate and precise attention to detail

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent time management skills; able to prioritize

· Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports

· Able to use 10-key by touch, with accurate data entry, and handle high volumes of daily data/information

· One year of data entry experience

· Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite

· Ability to multi-task

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
