Medical records specialist
We are a busy law firm looking for an individual that has experience preparing medical summaries. Familiarity with legal field is not required. Please submit a sample of a medical summary with your resume.
Duties:
- Provide administrative support to lawyer and legal professionals
- Perform data entry and file management tasks
- Draft demand letters and correspondence
- Order medical records and bills
- Summarize medical records and prepare billing spreadsheets
- Communicate with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Answer phone calls and handle inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
Qualifications:
- Proven experience analyzing and summarizing medical records
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in data entry and file management
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical records
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with proofreading techniques
- Proficient in using document management systems or software Microsoft Word and Excel and Adobe
- Ability to priortize tasks and meet deadlines
- Professional phone etiquette
Expected hours: 25-40/week
Work location: Hybrid remote
