Assembly Mechanic 1

Summary

This position will assemble, maintain, prepare parts and equipment for delivery to customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform assembly of mechanical parts and equipment for powertrains and related components.

Ensure functionality and reliability of machines, parts and mechanical systems for various types of equipment.

Performs maintenance, inspections and service on parts and equipment to include stripping, painting, etc.

Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling.

Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.

Reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.

Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.

Provide general support for building maintenance.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational school or certificates in related field strongly preferred.

At least two years of relevant work experience required.

Ability to read, understand, and follow assembly instructions.

Must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail.

Must be able to work with various machines and tools.

Ability to operate forklift and other standard warehouse equipment.

Ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Proven ability to identify, analyze and solve difficult problems, and present practical solutions.

Self-motivated and pro-active.
