Senior Associate Trial Attorney

GrayDuffy, LLP is a mid-sized, boutique family-friendly law firm with a friendly environment, with offices in Woodland Hills and Redwood City. Our primary focus is on civil litigation, including many matters that involve insurance, personal injury, construction defect, and employment litigation.

We are currently seeking a Senior Associate Trial Attorney to join our team.

Responsibilities

Will handle all aspects of cases assigned to them, from the inception of the matter to preparation and supervision of the trial proceeding.

Case evaluation and preparation;

Develop a plan of action and recommend a winning case strategy;

Interview witnesses for court cases and prepare witnesses to testify.

Correspond with attorneys, court personnel, and clients regarding cases;

Prepare and draft pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents on behalf of clients;

Perform administrative duties as they relate to the practice of law;

Correspond as needed;

Appear in court on all cases assigned;

Report on hearings, depositions, and appearances.

Negotiate settlements;

Comply with all legal standards and regulations.

Qualifications

Must have 10-15 years of experience in personal injury, insurance defense, construction defect, business litigation, or other relevant experience;

Independent case handling from inception through trial;

Must have trial experience, preferably multiple first-chair jury trials.

Strong analytical and problem-solving expertise.

Effective time management;

Maintain a commitment to superior client service;

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in California and in good standing with the state bar;

Exceptional personal interaction skills;

Excellent analytical and academic credentials;

Legal case management software experience preferred;

Technologically adept;

Excellent organizational skills;

Excellent interpersonal skills;

Previous management experience is strongly preferred.

GrayDuffy currently has offices in Woodland Hills/Warner Center and Redwood City. This role will be based at the Woodland Hills location and is an in-office position.

Annual Salary: Starting at $150k-$200k; commensurate with experience and demonstrated ability. Opportunity to earn quarterly, performance-based supplemental income when predetermined criteria are met.
