Payroll Specialist
Description Job Title: Temporary Payroll SpecialistType: Temporary (to cover leave of absence)About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Temporary Payroll Specialist to join our client's team during a critical leave of absence. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll for 300+ employees biweekly, managing numerous garnishments, and understanding and applying the differing payroll regulations for employees based in Washington and Oregon. You will be the sole payroll person during this period. As such, our client is looking for a dedicated, meticulous individual with strong numerical skills, excellent organization abilities and a keen eye for detail.Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently
Managing workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
Reconciling payroll discrepancies
Processing employee's garnishments
Providing timely and accurate reports
Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
Liaising with employees and management
Resolving issues and answering payroll-related questions
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
At least one year of experience processing payroll using ADP Workforce Now or a minimum of two years of experience in payroll without ADP.
Knowledge and understanding of payroll procedures and laws in Washington and Oregon.
Strong numeracy and communication skills.
The ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
