Ranch Irrigator

This is a sesonal job Running from April 15 to October 31. Ranch is located about 30 miles outside of Baker City, OR. Main job is flood irrigating about 900 acres of meadow ground. You will be expected to perform all watering duties required to attain a goal of soil and vegetation health set by the ranch. Grass is our primary feed source for all livestock and therefore must be given priority. Constant rotation of water sources across grazing land with goal of maximum coverage is the daily goal. Also included in the duties is: spraying and spinning ditches as needed, replacing culverts when needed, helping maintain electric fence, performing regular maintenance and servicing of equipment, operating equipment, assisting with moving and working cattle when needed.

Housing available if needed. Position has potential for pay increase, bonus and beef based on performance.
