Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing the financial activities of our organization, including financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and compliance. This position offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to the success and growth of our finance team.Responsibilities:

Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance and trends.

Manage general ledger accounts and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.

Coordinate and support external audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Assist with the implementation and improvement of internal controls and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure compliance with changes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and achieve organizational goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting software.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software systems.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Leadership experience and the ability to mentor and develop junior staff members.
