Shovel Operator Wanted
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Shovel Operator to join our logging operations team. The Shovel Operator will play a crucial role in our logging process, assisting in the loading and unloading of timber, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the efficient flow of operations.
Responsibilities:
-Operate and maintain a variety of shovel equipment used in logging operations.
-Safely load and unload timber onto trucks or other transportation vehicles.
-Assist in the sorting and stacking of logs at the logging site.
-Perform maintenance on shovel equipment to ensure performance and safety standards.
-Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
-Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and workflow.
-Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations at all times.
Requirements:
-Proven experience as a Shovel Operator or similar role, preferably in the logging industry.
-Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
-Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment.
-Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
-Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physical stamina to perform manual labor.
-Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
-Willingness to follow instructions and adapt to changing work demands.
