Responsibilities:

Examine residential remodeling projects, determine the scope of work, and collaborate with project managers to gather necessary information.

Prepare comprehensive cost estimates by identifying labor, material, and time requirements. This includes studying project proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

Present prepared estimates in a clear and organized manner, utilizing numerical and descriptive information, to support project planning and decision-making.

Exercise initiative and flexibility to perform additional duties as directed by management to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

Utilize estimating software, with a focus on Xactimate, to ensure accurate and efficient cost calculations. Adhere to established policies and procedures for consistency and reliability.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Home Improvement Cost Estimator, with a strong background in Xactimate software.

Proficiency in reading blueprints, project proposals, and specifications.

Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Familiarity with residential remodeling processes and materials is a plus.
