Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team in Chimacum. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for working on the line and doing food prep before and occasionally during service. Some occasional cashiering duties as well. You get to work in a covered outdoor space and not be trapped in a tiny kitchen all summer! If it's freezing outside in the colder months, we will close for the day.

If you have a passion for noodles and/or ramen and enjoy working outside, we would love to hear from you. Previous experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate if they are interested in pursuing a career in cooking.

We offer a set schedule weekly, with flexibility to take time off as needed. Life happens and we want someone to feel comfortable staying for a while. Pay is 18/hr + tips shared among employees broken down by hours worked per week, which is roughly 8-10/hr . This position offers 30-40 hours a week from May - October and 20-30 hours from November - April.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to standards

- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies

- Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner

- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures

- Maintain prep levels and communicate about needs clearly

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Adhere to all food safety regulations and possess a food handlers card

Qualifications

- Previous experience cooking in a professional environment

- An interest in learning more about ramen

- Ability to work well under pressure

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- The ability to work evenings and weekends
