Sr. Accountant
Description Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced, organized Senior Accountant to join their team for a permanent opportunity in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives Requirements - Able to manage time well
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Skilled with ERP systems
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Vow to meet business deadlines
Knowledge of Sage 100
General ledger experience highly desired
Audit Senior experience desired
Foundational knowledge in account reconciliation
Strong familiarity with month end closings
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
