As a GIS Data Quality and Governance Specialist, Cloud Operations & Innovation, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.Empower Billions!Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 100 datacenters and 1 million servers. Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspect of datacenter activities.

Drive a fiber delivery GIS strategy that creates robust and elastic processes and systems, which are scalable in line with Microsoft's growth.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date GIS data related to fiber network infrastructure, by leveraging your deep knowledge of fiber network construction, vaults, and associated components to inform GIS data accuracy.

Collaborate with Azure and the global GIS team to ensure consistency and compliance across regions.

Implement quality control processes to identify and rectify inaccuracies or inconsistencies in GIS data.

Conduct thorough quality assurance inspections of GIS data, either remotely or through site visits.

Develop, document, and maintain SOPs for GIS data collection, validation, and governance.

Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

OR equivalent experience.

2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other RequirementsAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

OR equivalent experience.

6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
