Athletic Trainer- In-House Clinical

Job Summary Athletic Trainers work at the height of their license at Excelsior Orthopaedics, whether that be in our Express Urgent Care Clinic or in a clinical settings working alongside physicians. With increased volume at current locations we are looking to add several patient-centered and team focused clinicians to our practice! Duties and Responsibilities

Works in the Rehabilitation Clinic, closely with physical and occupational therapists to progress patients and maintain a safe and efficient patient flow

Teach and monitor athletes on proper and safe lifting/conditioning techniques

Educate patients regarding injuries, reconditioning exercises, and/or injury recovery as needed

Identify patients that would benefit from Excelsior Sports Training Program (including Strides and Overhead Throwing Athletes)

QualificationsRequirements and Qualification

BS in Athletic Training required.

NYS license required.

CPR/AED certification preferred.

Experience in educational or clinical setting preferred but not required.

Training and relocation assistance available.

Physical Demands

Requires considerable physical activity including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds.

Involves standing, walking, and kneeling.

Work environment involves some exposure to hazards/physical risk, which requires adhering to basic safety precautions.
