Otterbeck Builders has been remodeling & renovating local homes in the entire Capital Region for over 35 years. We currently are seeking applicants to expand our estimating/sales department.

Responsibilities/Duties:

-Estimator will prepare estimates in a "timely fashion" for projects given to them by the Sales Department. Must have good communication skills (verbal/email), to gather pricing from vendors/sub-contractors, and to contact customer's with any questions that may arise that would be needed to complete estimate.

-Estimator will prepare any revisions necessary when a prospect becomes a a customer.

-Estimator will participate in project starts, progress of project and final quality control of project.

-Estimator may be required to assist the Production Manager or Assistant Production Manager if necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

-Associate's degree or equivalent in construction management/related field or a minimum 4 years experience.

-Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines.

-Comprehensive math skills.

-Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office software and residential estimating software.

-Estimator must be able to prepare entire estimation for roofing, siding, windows, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and decks.

-Able to review, understand, and explain precision technical plans, blueprints and drawings.

-Basic knowledge of materials, design and building methods.

-Basic knowledge of safety practices and all OSHA rules and regulations.

-This job primarily operates in a professional office environment.

-Must have reliable transportation.
