Medical Office Associate - CMC Outpatient Rehab, Full Time

Responsible for general receptionist, registration, and billing duties in a physician office setting. Principal Accountabilities:Assists patients with appointment scheduling

Checks patients in/out in EPIC

Transcribes orders

Manages referrals

Monitors and schedules PT online appointment request portal

Runs estimates, collects co-pays and up front balances

Addresses EPIC work queues and maintains them in good standing

Manages departmental phone lines

Monitors appointment reminder system

Orders office and clinical supplies as needed

Assists patients with problem solving issues related to scheduling, registration, insurance, copays, etc.

Provides excellent customer service

Completes all AHS and role specific mandatory trainings

Assists with insurance responsibilities as needed (depending on site volumes)

Maintains proper communication with supervisor and staff, including email correspondence and others in a timely manner

Performs other administrative tasks as needed

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent experience

Prior administrative experience strongly preferred

Knowledge of computerized scheduling & EMR system a plus

Preferred:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Individual must be customer and employee focused, must have demonstrated ability to multi-task

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
