As an Asian Foods Cook at The Market at Birch Bay, you will

 Create a beautiful Asian Foods case every day with selections from around Asia

 Follow developed recipes to ensure consistency in all products

 Utilize various cooking techniques depending on the dish

 Help with daily preparation by cutting meats and vegetables, and making sauces

 Work to support the high presentation and quality standards of The Market at Birch Bay

 Follow training guidelines to prevent cross-contamination of gluten-free and vegan options

 Assist other staff in providing excellent customer service

 Suggest new dishes based on your experience and customer feedback

And of course, use your skills to supply our customers with fresh, delicious meals.

We’re looking for candidates with:

 At least one (1) year experience cooking in a hospitality or retail food environment

 Excellent and varied culinary skills and techniques; a culinary degree will be a plus

 Experience cooking recipes that cover a wide variety of flavor profiles, such as

 International cuisines

 Preferential cooking (vegetarian, vegan, religious-based diets)

 Allergy-related awareness (nuts, dairy, gluten-free, shellfish)

 Commercial production experience (preferred)

 Strong knowledge of food-preparation materials, methods and equipment

 Strong math skills and the ability to understand units of measure
