Job Summary:

Business Operations Support Representative is a full-time entry level position providing operational support to the Operations Department. This position involves executing operational tasks like initiating, setting up, verifying, controlling, and following up on multiple projects with short deadlines. A successful candidate will be representing Marketplace Brands brand across business operations. Must be able to perform well in complex situations with extreme attention to detail. Strong communicator and self-starter with problem solving ability. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who wants to learn about business operations, learn new skills and grow professionally.

Duties & Essential Job Functions but not limited to:

Assists the COO with daily operations of the Department.

Sets-up new customer and vendor accounts, billing codes, and other data.

Sets-up new items with new accounts.

Assist with costing and purchasing.

Assist with Sales Presentations.

Prepare reports and analysis.

Tracks data through excel files and maintains accurate records.

Ensures open tasks and projects are followed up and completed by the deadline.

Administratively supports the customer order process; may coordinate activity with vendors, sales staff, customer service representatives, billing representatives, warehouses, and shippers; may assist with making arrangements for shipments.

Assists with data management in the ERP system.

Prepares additional excel files upon request.

Works with multiple business lines to support operational success and development.

Works with all departments to ensure successful operations, in adherence with organizational mission, values, goals, budgets.

Assist in development of operational/program protocols, policies, procedures.

Collaborates across multiple departments, often in real-time and on critical issues.

Assist with E-Commerce Order Fulfilment.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience: 1-2 years experience in operations and office environment preferred.

Education: Associate degree in Business or Communications preferred. Bi-lingual a plus (Spanish).

Skills:

Excel required - Intermediate

Ability to self-start and self-manage, flexibility, multitask and prioritize one’s work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Proven analytical skills.

Execution mindset.

Ability to resolve complex and time-sensitive problems using both established protocol and creative thinking, as necessary.

Strong time management skills (We juggle a lot!).

Adaptable and fast learner who is able to self-regulate and remain calm under pressure

General understanding of business and all potential aspects of it.

Proven analytical skills.

Physical Demands: Work is usually performed in an office environment with normal noise levels. Involves prolonged sitting, and computer/phone usage.

Required Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license.

Other requirements: Must be able to pass a background test and work flexible/extended schedule as needed.
