Human Resources Specialist

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Specialist is responsible for supporting the HR department primarily through sourcing, recruiting, onboarding, timekeeping and benefits administration. This role serves as an employee advocate and is a champion of company policy and employer brand. What you will do:

Postjob ads, ensuring FLSA classification compliance

Attractapplicants by using traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, schools, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates

Screen and interview applicants; coordinate appropriate employment testing

Manage internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.

Conduct employment verifications

Prepare job offers

Administrative data processing in HRIS

Participate in employee orientation for timekeeping, benefits, and policies

Set-up and coordinate employee training to include Lunch & Learns and benefit education events

Communicating employee reminders for surveys, bonuses, garnishments, benefits, 401(k), and performance reviews

Coordinate new hire benefits enrollment meetings

Perform monthly benefits invoice reconciliation

Assist in annual open enrollment activities

Report and monitor out of schedule / absences within timekeeping

Audit, enter, and maintain time off balances

Execute additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years HR experience

Outgoing, diverse, creative, positive, personable attitude; non-judgmental, open-minded

Passionate about helping people; ethical; high level of integrity and confidentiality

Knowledge offederal and state HR/payroll laws

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Advanced expertise in conducting several types of interview (group, phone, video, etc.)

Ability to cultivate relationships, promote Sportsman Boats and follow up with candidates

Must have social media experience

Bachelor's degree

Preferred Education and Experience

HR experience in a manufacturing or construction environment

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field

Bilingual (English/Spanish)
