Mobile Eyecare Associates is a Mobile Optometry Practice with over 39 years of providing quality primary visual care in Nursing and Retirement Facilities from Key West to Vero Beach.

We are looking for a vibrant, organized and hard-working person to join our team, working side by side with our doctors. This position, is only for people with compassion and thoughtfulness in dealing with the elderly population.

Candidate must:

Have a reliable car and a valid Florida Driver’s License with a good driving record (you will sometimes have to drive the company car)

Quickly and efficiently provide support for the doctor

Be able to communicate with Doctors, Nursing home staff and Family members

Be able to adapt to a flexible schedule

Responsibilities and Duties that you will be TRAINED for:

Basic data entry throughout our EMR system (Compulink)

Take patient’s histories, update medical records (current medications & allergies)

Take patient’s Visual Acuities

Dilate patients (put drops in patient’s eye)

Perform fitting, adjusting and repair of eyeglasses

Perform patient education

Perform sterilizing and maintenance of instrument and deliver equipment

Qualifications and Skills:

High School Diploma or equivalency required.

Proficient Computer skills

Be able to pass a Level II background screening.

Must be able to lift between 50-80 pounds when needed; heavy lifting

Bilingual – English/Spanish a plus.
