Schedule: Full-time; Monday – Friday
Job type: Temp (4 – 6 weeks)
Pay Rate: $26.92/hour
About the Role
This team member is a dynamic fundraiser who raises support for workplace giving campaigns on Oahu. Developing and implementing strategies that steward relationships with external workplace employees from local businesses, often includes holding educational forums, presenting in front of groups, and going to a workplace and participating in fundraising activities with the client.
This person will work in partnership with the Supervisor to meet fundraising goals and steward donor relationships with business and community leaders on Oahu. Must have a strong network in our local professional community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Works with Supervisor to execute the fundraising strategy encompassing department
goals and objectives. Programs include donor recognition, maximizing leadership giving,
major gifts, and others as assigned.
Solicits individual and corporate opportunities through year-round management of an account portfolio.
Responsible for processing of donations and data entry of account maintenance.
Develops new or enhanced business partnerships through in-person, phone, email, and
digital communications.
Articulates the mission and vision of our organization and its community impact work to
diverse companies and community audiences through in-person and online group
presentations and individual meetings.
Delivers exceptional customer service by responding to donor questions and resolving
issues in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner.
Collects data on the campaign, evaluates results, and proposes recommendations.
Supports a positive team environment through active participation in team-related
activities.
Performs other duties as assigned
Skills/Knowledge
Budget management experience. Knowledge in fundraising software preferred.
Excellent skills in relationship management, team building, problem-solving, public
speaking, and executive presentation.
Persuasive communication and people skills and ability to communicate well both orally
and in writing.
Ability to perform varied assignments with initiative and an open mind.
Coachable, and has a growth mindset
Able to work on concurrent assignments and meet deadlines.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Business Administration, Marketing, Public
Relations, or Sales. MBA and related field and/or equivalent combination of education
experience preferred.
Three (3) years of experience in fundraising, with emphasis on development services
and/or operations.
Proficient in donor management software or CRM.
Experience in a medium-sized company or non-profit organization, working with
volunteers, knowledge of nonprofit operations.
