In this position, you provide expert consultation to healthcare personnel in the development, implementation, and maintenance of infection prevention and control plans, policies, and procedures. You consult with multidisciplinary teams and facility infection prevention staff to develop prevention and control strategies and disease surveillance protocols.This position is technical, consultative, and analytical. It involves interaction with healthcare facility infection control personnel and other facility staff, including medical personnel as well as internal and external customers which may include healthcare providers, patients, residents, other departmental and governmental units, and the public in general. Work is performed independently and is reviewed by an Epidemiologist Supervisor or higher-level administrator for program effectiveness.Interested in learning more? Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

This position allows you the option of reporting to our office in Greensburg, Harrisburg, or Reading, PA.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Greensburg, Harrisburg, or Reading.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:Three years of professional infection prevention and control experience in a healthcare facility or in public health, and a master's degree;or

Four years of professional infection prevention and control experience in a healthcare facility or in public health, and a bachelor's degree.

Special Requirement:All positions require possession of an active Certified in Infection Control (CIC) certification as issued by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC).
