In our fast-paced culinary environment of Trinity Street, the Sous Chef plays a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef with kitchen operations, including menu planning, staff management, and food preparation. This position requires a blend of creativity, passion for food, and leadership skills to maintain high standards of service and cuisine.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development and planning of menus, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection.

Oversee and participate in the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring consistency and quality.

Manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and overseeing daily tasks.

Enforce stringent hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen.

Conduct inventory checks and order supplies while managing budget constraints.

Collaborate with the Head Chef to innovate recipes and optimize kitchen processes.

Address and resolve any issues related to staff or food quality.

Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and repair needs.

Provide guidance and motivation to kitchen staff to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Ensure customer satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality food and service.

Other duties as assigned and requested.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a reputable restaurant or hotel kitchen.

Culinary degree from an accredited culinary school is highly preferred.

Comprehensive understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.

Familiarity with industry’s best practices and culinary trends.

Certification in health and food safety.
