Truck / Trailer / Chassis / Auto Mechanic - Hiring ALL POSITIONS

We are looking to hire Truck / Trailer / Chassis / Auto Mechanic Technicians who are responsible for diagnostics and repairing the mechanical & electrical parts of trucks, trailers, chassis, & automobiles

DUTIES:

-Perform preventative maintenance service and inspections.

-Diagnose and provide quick response for equipment failure while drivers are out on the road.

-Maintain and repair all equipment to include engine, electrical, wheels, tires, brakes, axles, suspension, body, etc.

-Follow company procedures. Ensure a safe work environment.

-Responsible for performing all job duties with honesty and integrity.

-Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.

-Examines assigned unit to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.

-Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.

-Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles

QUALIFICATIONS

-Be physically fit to lift, bend, and work with both manual and power tools (100 pound lifting requirement).

-A high school education is expected.

-Tire Mount / Dismount Experience

-Perform air brake service and maintenance

-Basic welding skills desired (such as Oxy/Acetylene, MIG, and ARC).

-Minimum age 18

-Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

-Minimum of 3 years hands-on fleet mechanical experience.

-Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment a must.

-Desire to have a career path in Fleet and/or Maintenance Management.

Our founder started the company with 2 trucks and himself working 7 days/week. We have grown since then into a company with close to 80 employees and several different locations servicing all of NJ, the boroughs of NYC, Eastern PA, Lower CT, and Lower NY. We also own and operate a truck parts store, container/chassis depot and full service diesel/chassis/trailer repair garage all located in South Kearny NJ.
