We use dynamometers and vehicles to test and validate our power units. This is a hands on job that allows individuals to work with hardware and Global cross functional teams.

Lead a team of core and requesting engineers tasked with delivering aligned DVP's from FEDE generation to completion of physical tests and documenting concurred results.

Lead power unit design verification workstream for Ford designs of power unit applications.

Drive alignment between EPDV and systems engineering teams on application requirements, test plan, results and root cause analysis with Re-DV for the Power Unit system.

Has experience in program management and delivery.

Flexes/adjusts appropriately to balance risks in non-standard timing.

Has experience in verification test planning and execution.

Understands upfront design, verification plan and methods, and industrialization process.

Can evaluate vehicle inputs and system outputs and how they apply to power unit design and architecture.

What you'll do…

Lead team on design verification workstream and test methods in support of DV and PV

Lead power unit durability teardown sign-off process.

Establish prototype counts, dyno kit and vehicle needs to enable test development.

Interface with Vehicle Program to secure appropriate resources from the dyno lab.

Engage and encourage open collaboration, communication within team.

Lead continuous process improvement through test methods, requirements and Failure Mode Analysis workstreams.

Manage development work and prioritize needs to support program milestone deliverables.

Support technical specialist community in “Test to Understand” development and plan execution.

Manage purchased service budget for testing.

Support systems and component teams on quality efforts.

You'll haveMinimum

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field of study.

3+ Years of Design and Release experience desired/preferred.

Clear communicator and highly motivated to exceed expectations.

Even better, if you have …Preferred

Masters Degree in Product Development or EV Systems.

1+ years of experience in Gearbox/eDrive design or knowledge of power unit function.

Knowledge of ideal function, noise factors, error states and control factors specific to Power Unit execution in EV's

Experience in testing, data analysis, and calibration.

Experience and/or knowledge of dynamometer.

Knowledge in data processing

Experience in presenting complex material to leadership.
