Now’s your chance.The OpportunityAs a computer systems analyst you will work with CDC to answer complex technical questions as part of the Centers for Disease Control- National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases Data Science project. You will perform data cleaning and data pipeline engineering, analyze textual and numerical data, and may utilize various tools in Azure and AWS cloud environments to deploy generative AI, natural language processing, and machine learning workflows.To be successful you must be experienced in data analytics methods.This position is a fixed term agreement for the length of the project, expected to be through March 16, 2026 with possible extension, with up to 3 hires made for this role. Client approval is required prior to start.Core ResponsibilitiesThe successful hire will be able to perform the following functions and have the following mix of experience and skills:

Collect data from various sources, e.g., webscraping and APIs and perform data management tasks

Familiarity with generative AI, natural language processing (NLP), and/or machine learning methods, including random forests and neural nets.

Experience programming in Python

Familiarity with version control (git) software

Familiarity with SQL

What We Value:

Bachelor’s degree and 4 year of relevant experience or Associate’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience

Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or relevant discipline is strongly preferred

Must have a current US government security clearance or the ability to successfully obtain one.

Ability to provide a link to a github repository or other code sample is a plus.

Preference given to those with familiarity with public health and surveillance data.

Preference given to those with familiarity with cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Azure).

US work authorization with no sponsorship needed is required.

Salaries may vary by ten percent depending on the candidate’s geographic location.
