Warehouse Associate

Description of Role – Summary:

The purpose and scope of the role is to perform the warehouse functions of the group’s USA distribution warehouse.

This person will have the drive and patience to work in an environment with a cyclical pace. Consistency, reliability, and attention to detail are key to success. Communication and cooperation with the team is a fundamental responsibility of the role. Working within a small team will require a do-er and a get-things-done type of person. A willingness to help and support wherever needed is a key part of the role.

Responsibilities:

Pick, pack and label customer shipments.

Using computer system to ship packages (FedEx, UPS, USPS).

Processing customer orders accurately.

Ensuring packages are correct and packaged professionally.

Maintaining correct inventory, including identifying any missing or damaged items.

Assembly of various kits and products.

Consistently maintain cleanliness of warehouse.

Some driving to local suppliers for parts pick-up (must have valid driver’s license)

Work as part of a warehouse team of 2-3 people and total office team of 9.

Competency Requirements:

Extensive experience working in a warehouse, logistics or operations.

Computer skills: Knowledge or ability to learn, Fedex and UPS shipping.

Good interpersonal skills and teamwork required.

Knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.

Ability to operate a forklift effectively. Certification strongly encouraged.

Position Details:

Competitive hourly wage based on experience.

Full time. 40 hrs per week.

Daily hours 8 - 4:30 with 30-minute lunch.

Location: North Kingstown, RI (from November on). The company is currently located in Portsmouth but will be moving to Quonset in November.
