We want you to be part of this legacy and take it forward.The Print Shop in Greenfield Village has an opening for a part-time Craftsperson. In this role, you will demonstrate historic and contemporary printing techniques for our guests' education and purchase, producing artwork for sale under the supervision of the Shop Lead. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the effective operation of the Printing Shop as part of Greenfield Village's daily programming and production facility. Reports to Print Shop Lead and Head of Exhibitions and Performances.Essential Responsibilities: Demonstrates printing techniques to the public and provides hospitality and service to all visitors. Produces artwork products for sale. Delivers mission-based presentations to the public as defined by the Print Shop Supervisor and Head of Exhibitions and Performances. Works with Shop Supervisor and Head of Exhibitions and Performances to ensure the physical presentation, maintenance, and repair of the building, equipment, and tools. Complies with OSHA and SDS standards. Facilitates the fulfillment of orders for stores, catalog, historic sites, awards, and special orders. Assists with the development of new products as assigned Ensures clear communication and teamwork, and fosters a positive work environment Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment and maintains an organized workspace. Responsible for development of creative work which includes, but is not limited to, publications in any medium, product and program development and design, and all related collateral materials. Performs other duties as assigned.Your Qualifications: BFA in Printmaking or equivalent production shop experience. An interest in American technological history or the history of printmaking is desirable. Weekday, weekend, evening, and holiday availability required.Special Skills: Demonstrated mastery of printing is required. Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and public presentation abilities.
