Accounts Payable

Description Robert Half has a long-term contract / temporary position available for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become an integral part of a rapidly growing team at a company in the Non-Profit industry. The Accounts Payable Clerk will resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, process checks, and match, batch, and code invoices. As the role progresses , more responsibilities will be assigned to the Accounts Payable Clerk. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area and will be a long-term contract / temporary position.Responsibilities

Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs

Provide support during internal and external audits

Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

Fullfill full-cycle A/P

Perform special projects as assigned

Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

Competent with spreadsheets and databases

Accounts Payable (AP) experience

Microsoft Excel experience

Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
