OVERVIEW:

The Landscape Supervisor is responsible for the management of landscape projects and maintenance of exiting landscaping. Assist with decision making and efficient and precise completion of each project. Is responsible for crew management of 2-6 people and coordination with the Landscape Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Supervise, direct, and manage crews for maximum efficiency and quality of work

Provide on the job training of crew to maximize quality, efficiency, and safety practices. Strives to improve job skills and develop the potential of each crew member

Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and on site for maximum efficiency

Ensures all safety rules and company policies are followed by all crew members. Ensures all personal protective equipment is worn at times when equipment or job task specifies

Reports to duty at the designated location and time each day, ready to work. Ensures timely arrival on the job site by all crew members

Communicates clearly with the Landscape Manager and members as needed to ensure a smooth, efficient, and quality product

Monitors and tracks job hours of all crew members and reports them in a timely manner to the Landscape Manager for payroll purposes

Communicates potential changes or problems to the Landscape Manager, in a timely manner and recommends potential solutions

Maintains a clean and safe job site at all times

Off-season duties include assisting with holiday lighting, fire mitigation work, trail building, snow plowing, and shoveling

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A minimum of one year experience in the landscape Supervisor or similar position

2. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record (Required)

3. Knowledge of tools, methods, and materials used in landscape maintenance and improvement

4. Excellent organizational, leadership, and time management skills

5. Problem-solving abilities

6. Ability to follow and give oral and written directions

7. Must be able to safely operate light motorized equipment

8. Have a can-do and team-oriented attitude working in a team
