Diesel Truck Mechanic
We arelooking fora full-time Diesel Truck Mechanicto join our team!You will be responsible for performing basic repairs and preventative maintenance for a fleet of Mack, Freightliner and Volvo tractors, dump trucks and trailers.
We are looking for a mechanic experienced in repairing and replacing minor issues such as lights, brakes, hoses, diagnostics, changing tires, etc.
PAID WEEKLY. Health Insurance is available.

Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance on trucks, such as checking batteries and changing tires to ensure trucks are properly maintained and safe
Repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions and differentials, including replacing complete assemblies, turbos, fuel system components, etc.
Inspect various parts of trucks, including brake systems, wheel bearings and steering mechanicisms to ensure they are in proper condition to operate effectively.
Replace parts, valves, bearings and gears as needed and repair vehicle cooling and heating systems.
Measure vehicle emissions to ensure they are inthe proper limits.
Keep your work area clean and safe
Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by management
Job Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experienceas a diesel mechanic and trailer maintenance
Must be able to work independently and lift heavy equipment and parts regularly and well as the ability to work well as part of a team
Knowledge of shop equipment
Valid driver's license required, CDL preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Willing to work in non-climate controlled conditions
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
