Senior Mechanical & HVAC Design Engineer

Applied Engineering is a great place to work. We’re looking for an experienced senior mechanical design leader with a minimum of ten years working in an HVAC and Plumbing design and consulting environment within the United States.

Now on to the stuff you usually see in these postings:

You must have a minimum of ten years of HVAC and Plumbing design and consulting experience in the United States. You must be able to analyze mechanical and plumbing plans to make sure the people who report to you create engineering designs that are high quality and best practice. Our goal is to do it right the first time, every time.

You must have experience at managing other engineers and designers in an HVAC and Plumbing construction document production and consulting environment. You will have to create plans yourself and will be responsible for making sure that work done by others is excellent before going out the door.

You must understand and know mechanical, plumbing and energy codes.

It would be nice if you have experience in project management and understand the basics of process improvement, be it Scrum, The Theory of Constraints or Lean Manufacturing. Our goal is having you be a leader when it comes to improving our design and QC processes and having experience with doing so is a real plus.

How about our pay:

Our goal is to have your base salary be competitive with comparable organizations. Our pay is base salary plus bonuses based on company performance.
