Part-Time Full Charge Bookkeeper
Part-time Full Charge Bookkeeper (15-25 hours/wk, on-site)
Wayne, NJ.
Requires: 3-5 years’ full charge bookkeeping experience, proficient with Excel and QuickBooks, client-facing communication skills.
Our client is a growing bookkeeping firm that has been providing full-charge bookkeeping services for businesses and individuals for more than 15 years. The company has an opening for an experienced part-time full charge bookkeepers (15-25 hours per week) to perform entry and review work on site in the Wayne, NJ office.
Responsibilities of the P/T Full Charge Bookkeeper:
Review and enter monthly banking and credit card activity for the firm’s various clients
Post payments to invoices (Accounts Receivable)
Pay invoices as needed (Accounts Payable)
Prepare monthly financials and interact directly with clients as needed
Post journal entries
Calculate and remit sales tax for clients
Perform reconciliations of payroll and payroll taxes with payroll returns
Review general ledger and other staffers’ work for accuracy
Conduct occasional site visits to clients as needed (no overnight travel)
Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications of the P/T Full Charge Bookkeeper:
Three to five years’ full charge bookkeeping experience, including some experience with Accounts Receivable collections and Accounts Payable
Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Excel and Word. Comfortable on QuickBooks software online or desktop.
Detail-oriented, analytical, able to analyze and catch errors
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to write correspondence in proper grammatical form and to effectively present information verbally in a small group situation or to a client or other employees.
Able to work independently
Good organizational skills
High ethical standards
Must be able to travel to client sites occasionally as needed (no overnight travel)
Must be able to put in a few extra hours during tax season
